Types of Bridges

A fixed dental bridge is used to replace a permanent tooth. A bridge is a non-removable false tooth known as a pontic.  The pontic is connected to crowns on each side of the false tooth.

A Traditional Bridge is crafted with porcelain fused to metal or ceramic. Two crowns cemented to the teeth on either side of the missing tooth support the pontic in between.

A Cantilever Bridge only impacts one of the adjacent teeth next to the missing tooth. These bridges are used in areas with less stress such as the front of the mouth.

A Resin Bonded Bridge also known as a Maryland Bridge, is used when the gums are health and the surrounding teeth are strong and free of restorations. This bridge requires the least damage to adjacent teeth, but isn’t as strong as a traditional bridge.

A bridge requires strong healthy teeth adjacent to the missing tooth. Our team will assist you in finding the right solution for your individual dental needs.
